Randy - In looking at the call for participants in eth research section, it struck to me that an easily available list of current research (open) needs posted either at the right or left of the  window that captures the research request.

This is a great idea. I will look at possible ways of highlighting the open needs. It may have to be via a link or some other pointer. One possible way is to have a link to the calls and make sure all the ones that appear by default are currently open calls (this is easy to do). In reality, we are still building up a list of open calls for research partners. Thanks for the suggestion.
